Came home from work yesterday and going through mail... Noticed a letter from Ford Motor Company... It was a check for $1,000.... It said it was in appreciation of me being one of the first buyers in the country of a new 2008 Super Duty. I thought... this is pretty cool.... Don't know how many of these were sent out.... It also said that if I had any questions or problems with my truck to contact them at a number on the letter.... Sometimes I guess it pays to jump out there on something new....
That wasn't appreciation money.. It was shut up money for the 12" flames you were shootin off.. I saw a video on Youtube of that.. OMG! Could you imagine doing that in traffic.. Gives a whole new meaning of "no more tailgating" LOL!
I have a guy at work that got one the other day. He has had his truck for over a month. I wish they would have done that for the 05's. I had the 2nd 05 at my dealer.
Yes, I looked at the youtube this morning and pretty impressive... I am curious is Ford the only one doing this afterburn on the diesel??? I have not heard of these problems with the Cummins or Duramax.. I assume they are using this process or similiar to achieve their compliance with the new emissions on new Diesels....
and them jumpy littel critters aint to destracking
but you aren't trying to read the jumpy little critters with each post he makes.
back on topic... that's pretty nice to send a check out like that. i do however agree that it's more of a "sorry your truck shoots flames. so take this money and don't bad mouth us please!" type of check.
