Yeah, the chrome hooks on my '06 with the chrome package are starting to rust where the loop of the hook comes together (the seam). Need to clean them up and apply some wax or something I suppose. But otherwise they look great.
if ford puts the on their trucks with the chrome package, i would def trust them. they do have a rating. you need to find out what the rating is and hw its rated. i think the ones on my dodge are rated at 5500# each. oh, and i think chrome or not, the bolts would break or the frame would tear before the hooks would be torn apart.
