Watch Out for ABS light
I've seen many posts regarding what is happening when ABS light goes on (sometimes intermittently)and what it might cost to get it fixed. If error code 62 comes up it means a bad actuator pump (so I'm told). My 96 has 4-wheel ABS and the part alone was almost $1200!! Thank God it was under my ext. warranty. Watch out for those sneaky dealers because they will try to get you for non-covered parts if they can. Warranties are fine except it means you occassionally have to deal with dealer service depts.-what a pain in the *&%.
Also, if I trashed my auto hubs before my warranty expired could I opt for them to install manual hubs in place of the fragile autos? You'd think it would be less expensive for them so there wouldn't be a problem. I feel confident I'll find out during our first few snowfalls anyway. I just hope it doesn't mean I'll be stuck too badly.
