A while back someone was on the hunt for the last 7.3L and I think mines pretty close. It was purchased new a while after the 04s were released. Its a 2wd auto crew cab with 52,000 Miles. Even if its not the last it is probably the lowest mileage 7.3L let me know.
well closer to the last than lowest mileage (well maybe on here) I have a neighbor that has an 02 F250 4x4 that has less than 30,000 miles (don't remember the exact number but when I asked a while back it was a 20 something) and no he won't sell it I already asked. lol probably have to buy it from his wife when he dies, and it will probably still have less then 40k on it (only uses it to pull his trailer to TX and back once a year now)
got it,
today I have 48K. I purchased it last year with 42K.
i have no clue why it was traded in either. probably some retard buying the first 6 blow. LOL poor fella
Ya your looking at youngest other then less miles. When I bought my 02 it only had 22,000 on it back in auguest and now it only has 40000. lol Ya I drive way to much I know.
I just put 37,000 miles on my '03 7.3L. I bought it used almost exactly 2yrs ago to date with 12,000 miles on it. I "stole" it from the dealership. I have already been asked if I want to sell it...umm, no! I plan to hold on to this puppy for some time.
I'm far from the youngest 7.3 ('02 with 66k on the clock), but it definitely feels good chatting with folks at the fuel pump when they ask "Is that new?". It's happened more than once...
Of course, these are non-PSD owners -- the last time it was a VW TDI driver asking about my mileage.
I have a 2003, 7.3, F-250 Lariat crew cab, short bed with 15,200 miles. Bought the truck new September 30, 2002. I use it to pull my fifth wheel camper.
a neighbor of mine has an 02 7.3 sc lb lariat that he only uses for his slide on camper and has about 18k on the truck. the thing is beautiful! he uses an 83 chevy 2500 as a daily driver still for what reason i dont know. ive been bugging him to buy the ford but he doesnt want to hear it.

I thought we were looking for the youngest being the very last PSD off the line? My grandfather owns an 02 with 9k and some change, he drives it on the farm and into town (3 miles) ..... he has the rows graded once a month so he can baby his toy, when he drives it at the end of the day.
But again aren't we looking for the last 7.3L off the production line?

Reason: because I cna't spel for crap
I agree with SDERIC in that the question was asking about production. I probably don't have the youngest but my '03 F350 daully was built in July '03 and incidentally it has approximately 60,000 miles on it. I bought it used two years ago with 57,000 miles. Now if we are going by least amount of miles per year I will be close to the top!
Yeah, you're right. I think he was wanting to go by serial numbers if I recall, not mileage. Which means an '03 built late.
I think 15k total in 4 1/2 years is about the lowest there is which is what, ~3.3k per year?? Mine is an '02 bought in Jan '07 with 60k which is about the average 12k per year...
Not trying to one-up, I work for a government agency with a fleet of about 45 PSD's in assorted years. We have six loaner trucks to hand out when an issued vehicle is in the shop. These trucks do not get used. I had to drive one the other day, 2002 regular cab F350, single rear wheels, 4X4 ---3800miles---! Our shop changes oil every 6mos on these trucks weather they get miles or not. The shop guys are instructed to see that they get driven, at least around the block, once a week. Our trucks get auctioned off at around 150k or 7 years old, what ever comes first.
