leaf spring isolator kit install

Read here on the forums that some of you have cured the squeaky leaf springs with new isolators. My dealer said that he has in stock a 'leaf spring isolator kit". He said that if consisted of 4 of 1 type of pad and 4 of another type. He didnt have any clue as to how to install it. I'm picking it up tonight after work. Have any of you heard of this type of kit and how hard is it to install em. It's only $35 so I thought I would give it a try.
Thanks a million in advance!!!!

I believe they are the pieces of plastic between the leaves. i think you have to split the leaf pack to install. which really isnt that hard.
good luck! i think i might have the squeak so keep us posted on how it goes.

Are you referring to the front springs or the back? I did the front a while ago and it was a piece a cake. Jack up the front of the truck, used a pry bar to spread the lower leaf from the top, popped the old one out, I only had one left, then put the new ones in on all four corners to to say, then dropped back down.

And just my luck, dang thing still squeaked over speed bumps. Turned out the drop links on the sway bar where causing all the noise. So might check that as well.

the part no is as follows 1c3z-5b302-aa. consists of 4 pcs of plastic approx 3" long,1 1/2 wide and is cupped out like it probably goes over the axle under the leaf spring. The kit also has 4 other pcs that are 3"x2" kinda hour glass shaped with a boss on the bottom of approx 5/8" dia. I think those probably fit thru a hole in the leaf. I feel that this kit has enough pcs to do both the front and the back leafs????????

The kit is just for the front, the peices with the boss fit right into the holes on the leafs, one for each corner. The cup shaped ones go right on top of the ones with the boss. So its plastic against plastic. I hope that makes sence.

Thanks for the info. I have got a sqeauking noise from upfront, have replaced everything else as it needed to be done. I noticed that one of the isolators was coming out.
