brake controller harness location

Hi Everyone,

I tried to search but could not find what i need.
I am looking for the factory plug in under the dash on a 2005 f350 for a a/m brake controller. The manual says it goes behind instrment cluster but I cannot locate plug in. Can anyone help.

If you remove the cover underneath the steering column, you will find it to the right hand side near the foot pedal adjust switch. Hope this helps.

if i'm thinking correctly that plug should be gray in color also.

Remove the big rectangular cover below the steering wheel. Four easy twist locks open it. Then look inside and to the right through the little "window". See where the hand is pointing in picture. The factory harness is a gray plug that is snapped in place with one of those plastic "ribbed" type fasteners, and you can grab that gray plug and pull it toward you to "unsnap" it and make it easier to pull out and towards you to plug in the brake controller harness. In this pic, a brake controller harness has already been plugged in (see the brown connector plugged into the gray connector.)

Just another reminder... (or in some cases it may be a lesson) about Reputation or Rep points.
