I have driving there a lot. It is fun. Pedals are the same. Left turns at intersections (you turn into the near lane) and roundabouts are tricky until you get use to it particularly when the pace is quick.
Is that a manual 4x4 shifter in the center console?
Yep it is. I like that!
My only complaint about European manuals (and most of the cars are manuals) is that the shifter still goes
1 3 5
2 4 R
Which is irritating when you're shifting with your left hand, to me anyways. I'd like it better if it went.
5 3 1
R 4 2
Eh just my random opinion for today.
I'm really liking the interior, very classy. They even get an "oh crap" handle on the driver's side. I just wish we could get a high-res picture of it for more detailed investigation.
Outside looks good, simple, elegant, CREW CAB! Very cool, seems roomy on the inside as well.
Not so much a fan of the turbodiesel. Less horsepower and barely more torque than my old 4.0L OHV. And undoubtably more cost and difficulty to work on for an option that wouldn't be used much. Just my opinion though.

I have a feeling thats the truck were gonna get on the redesign, it would be cost effective since it's already designed and being built. I do hope they bring back the manual t-case shifter, that would be great. They just released that same truck in Austraila as the ranger, it took the place of thier long running courier, "Yep", Austraila still had the courier untill this year.

If they do bring that body style here to the US, the bigger question will be, "What engine(s) will be available here?"
I'd imagine the same, 2.3L, 3.0L, and 4.0L SOHC. No reason to re-do those (though they might as well drop the 3.0L...I think Ford needs to face the fact that it's of little use with the 2.3L already there, which almost matches it in horsepower).
I couldn't imagine the Ranger having any new engines with a new body style during the first year. Perhaps, however.
Does the European/Australian version use the M5OD as well?
