"18 wheels...still problems?
I'm going to Spring Carlisle this week and was thinking about new wheels/tires for my '05 SC CC PSD. Are the 18's with Conti tires still giving folks problems? How have the Pirelli's been wearing? I'm looking for new take-offs. The truck is used primary for towing a heavy 5th wheel. All thoughts or suggestions welcomed.

The Continentals work fine as long as you are not near any mud, ice or snow. The general ride and towing performance are decent.
I'm using BFGs for winter tires and the Conti's for summer. So far this works out OK.

I had no issues with my Conti's. I did have them siped while they were pretty new. We have lots of rain in the NW, and of course, lots of snow in the Cascades.
I have a set of takeoffs from a Lariat, BTW.
I took mine off at about 10000 mile point to upgrade to 19.5 rims and tires.
If someone's last vehicle was a GM with a true locking axle, they'd for sure think that the conti's were awful. However, in 4 wheel I had absolutely no issues.
