Check Engine Codes....GGGGRRRRRR

So, here it is: 1996 F-150 4.2L V6, 160K Miles

Going back a couple months....
CE light comes on, registering #3 and #6 misfires. I pull the plugs, check the gaps. Check wires. Light remains on. So, I replace plugs and wires...message displays again. I replace the Coil Pack.....light comes back on. This time, I am also getting EGR valve Insufficient Flow. So, I pull the EGR and clean it out. Light comes back on...now I have the #3 and #6 valve misifiring, EGR valve, and the new one...a P1506 Idle Code. Does anyone have any ideas? Could it be the computer is crapping out on me? I am at my witts end here. Thanks guys.

Nothing wrong with your computer, it's just identifying all the other stuff that's crapping out.

EGR codes are ususally due to a faulty DPFE sensor, however, there are other possibilities. EGR valves are usually NOT the problem.

The idle-related code is likely due to a gummed-up IAC valve, very common.

The misfires may be due to plugs, wires, coils, injectors, intake gasket leaks, or other base engine mechanical faults.
