FINALLY. The thing is done and got its first coat of herculiner tonight.
Made out of 3/16" steel, 1"x2 1.2" rectangle tubing.
next... shackle tabs. 3/8" x 2 1/2" x 6" plate welded on each side of the mounting bracket. this way, i am pulling directly from the frame, and not the bumper
Now for my unclassified hitch
bolting it on with 11 bolts.. 2-7/8", 6- 3/4" and 4 5/8" I will rip the frame before those 7/8"ers!
I also put two backup lights, inset them 1/2" with gaurds. I will take pictures tomrrow..
Still havent hooked up the backup lights. It didnt look like a big gap from the bumper to the tailgate(2") but does after its herculined. I bought a 60" LED light strip to make up for it...
Made a quick cardboard template, mostly for the top profile to go around the contour of the corners. Other then that, the measurements and parts were pretty straight forward because it was all welded at 90º from the front peice.
got the rear lights hooked up today, just waiting for it to get dark. And then hopefully have some badass riding my ***
