Got a 76 F150 with factory A/C and the York compressor that needs a new shaft seal and so I'll need some gaskets too. :)
Got any suggestions on where to get parts?
A couple years ago I found them on the internet no sweat. This time no luck, too dangged much chaff to sort through, everybody wants to sell me a new one or one they put a new seal and gaskets in. ;)
Then got to thinking... I should ask for a recommendation for a source from you guys anyway. :)
Couple years ago I bought a new York-type compressor (Climate Control) and the next year the gaskets went to leaking.
So I've got two of them, the original with a leaky seal and a new one with leaky gaskets. :) I'm figuring on fixing them both while I'm at it. Bought some sealer from the HVAC store "Refrigeration Technologies sealant and assembly lube" that's like rubber when it dries.
The same seal & gasket sets were used on York Compressors from the mid 1960's thru the 1980's.
C8AZ-19B684-A .. Gasket Set (Motorcraft YE-14)
C9AZ-19655-A .. Seal Kit (Motorcraft YE-11)

Cool, thanks, Bill. :)
Typing in the right stuff to a search engine, to get what you want, is an art, you know it? :)
I found one outfit that sells everything except the gaskets. (Omega)
Another out fit that sells everything except the bearings. (like a dummy, I didn't book mark the name) What's cool about them is their gasket set will include the gaskets I'll need for my 2005 York/Climate Control. :)
And those look to be the only two outfits that sell parts on the internet.
There's an automotive A/C specialty shop in town that I'm going to check out first anyway, but wanted to know the prices and shipping costs. It's where I bought the new York (Climate Control inc). :)
The date stamp on the original York casting is 7/74. Many parts on my pickup were made the last week of January... and I got it Feb-14-75. :)

I'm using the actual Ford parts books. I knew the Ford numbers before I posted them, but needed to check the book for the Motorcraft numbers, which should be available. The same York compressor (C3AZ-19703-E) was used for years on 80% of the Fords including most of the 1963-79 Galaxie/LTD/Torino/Mustang/F100/350's etc. Check with FTE sponsor: y2kfordparts. They give discounts to FTE members.

I was thinking you were wanting me to check a Ford dealership. :)

y2kfordparts IS a Ford Dealer...Millenium Ford in the Seattle area. Willie is the parts manager and is very helpful to members here at FTE.
I always post the Motorcraft numbers when parts have them, because autoparts stores can cross the Motorcraft number over to whatever brand parts they are using. They may not be able to cross over the Ford part number.
