Hi,
I have a non-ac cab on my truck now with a 300 six 4 speed tranny 4 wheel drive and i want to change the cab over to a a/c cab from a truck with a 351 auto 2 wheel drive, what work will it be to make this conversion to accept my drivetrain for the air to operate properly?..........thanks Jeff
If it's the same year of cab I would expect the biggest challenge is converting the auto cab over to a stick. Getting the clutch pedal in may be a big challenge. That, and the 4X4. Not impossible, just a lot of work. The AC should be the easy part although you may need to move components around so your motor is set-up appears stock.
Would the cab floor height be any different from 2 wheel to 4 wheel drive for the four speed and would the rad support and radiator be any different for my six cylinder motor and for the a/c cooling capacity?..........thanks
The cab height should be the same and you will need to check and see what the other one had in it for a rad. Now's a good time to get a tape measure out.
