Differential Problem

I own a '83 bronco with a 8.8 differential. I have been expericing problems with the oil blowing out the vent tube. (70+/- interstate driving) I changed the oil, added Fords supplement, and only filling it about 1/4" from the top. The same probem exist. However It does not whine or make any noise when I drive it. I guessing it's getting too hot. I'm stumpted. Does anyone have suggestions? I reciently aquired another bronco, (1993 Eddie Bauer) that has a 8.8 differential. I was thinking about swapping the whole rear end, but I'm not sure that the gears are the same. I have to check the inspection tag to be sure. Anyway does anyone have a suggestion on this problem that I have? Thanks Bob

Where are you putting lube in the top vent or the plug beside pinion (has square indent for ratchet). Just put enough lube in till you can touch it with fingure (like 5 pint +- if diff is dry)trough this hole.
Get back to us. With info good luck
