Post SOOOOO Weird!!!!

I had a weird thing happen to my 1983 bronco the other day. I was in the mall parking lot and I went to turn on my truck. I imediatly noticed that my RPM's were going up fast and were not stopping. I quickly turned off the truck, only to find out that it was some how still on! Only it didnt sound normal at all, kind of like it was only half on. The egnition was the whole way back and it was still some how in a way ON! After some quick thinking I turned it back on and the truck seemed normal. This happned once before but that was when i was 4 wheeling and I thought one of my belts came off. So anyway.... any idea of what happened!

I don't know but it could be the fuel pump? Too much gas in the engine when turned on?

SOOOOO Weird!!!!

Had The same problem. It seems like it is trying to start even with the key off. Check your starter solenoid and the cable to your starter. Either the cable is coming loose or the solenoid is going bad. Most likely the wire.
