I don't know which trucks have or don't have them, but there's a spot for one. It's usually just a matter of locating it, and then popping a filter in the place that it should be. No additional hardware required, other than possibly having to undo a few clips.
i'm assuming my truck doesn't have one. do you think my truck would take one even though it didn't come standard? i am hoping it is a matter of just popping it in or popping it in with a little work. that would be awesome.

Yes I believe so. My wife's 05 Focus (loaded) didn't have one when I checked, but there was a spot for it if you wanted to pop one in there.

maaaaan, i just went out to my truck and it didn't take too long to find. or at least i'm sure where it goes. i popped off the small plastic foot panel passenger side that hides my fuse/relay box. looked underneat and spotted a mesh plastic deal thingie. popped my glove box out and i am sure that what i found is the intake but it looks like a major beotch to access. anyways, first questions first. anybody happen to know the part number and approximate price of this almight filter?
is it just saying that because it's a beotch to get to? it certainly looks like it could take the air filter. i've seen pictures of the air filter looks like in a super duty and this looks to be very similar in that purpose. any other takers on this question?
