I think Tim hit it right on the head. The only consistant and major problem with the Cummins engine is that it has a Dodge truck wrapped around it. Find anybody that's owned a Dodge truck more than a couple of years and ask him how many transmissions he's gone through. I know four guys with Dodge trucks, the oldest is a 97, all of them have had tranny work done.
