C6 Vacuum Module Color Codes

C6 Vacuum Module Color Codes
I posted this question on the "80 - '86 F-100 forum but no one seemed to have a definitive answer. I also searched the archive posts prior to this one.
There are TWO vacuum modules shown for the '80 C6.
When I went for a new module I was asked which color I wanted.
One code shows "BLACK, BROWN or PURPLE". The other shows "GREEN or BLACK".
I have a Haynes Manual and there is no reference to the module color codes.
The question is What is the difference (IF there IS a difference) in modules and how do I know which color code I need? My old one has NO color visible on it to refer to.

D8AZ-7A377-A .. Vacuum Modulator Valve~No Stripe Specified~Altitude Compensating Diaphram (Motorcraft TM-49)
These are the only two listed for an 1980/87 E150, U150 or a F100/150 with a C6. There are Black and Purple ones listed for E250/350's and F250/350's.
No brown striped modules listed for a C6..
