51 panel man..you are a tidy individual, no..seriously..I do live out in the country and you could have a wrecking yard next to me any day..(maybe some discount parts for the 56 fat ford chick next door who makes good banna bread) anyway, your stuff is so neat and organized it"s not even funny, you deserve 10 acres for parts. I grew op in san jose and do not envy you the zoning and nieghbor problems, not to mention the storage issues you face, we just built a 30x40 shop, nuthin gets wrenched on in it..kinda a damn shame really, I 'll change the oil in my 56' but that and the other trucks is about it.
Heheh-- That happens a lot in that business. Everybody's got their little trade secrets.
I don't do it anymore, but if you'll check my gallery you'll see a dirty old merc whose paint needs replaced, but in the mean time I think it could look a lot better with a little TLC--hence my curiosity. Thanks anyway!
Took the Airflow out today to photograph at a restored mansion. It's a city landmark now and has been partially converted into a conference center, small hotel and restaurant.
Everyone, young and old, stopped by and were looking at the car. A lot of the "old timers" (the really old timers) were telling me stories about remembering the times when the saw these cars out on the road. It drew enough attention that the mansion's manager came out and talked to me for about 20 minutes about the car.
Now it's back into storage as it's going to rain next week.
I'll be going back there again when I get my 52 Panel running. I'll take similar photos, but with the Panel by itself and then together with the Airflow.
