Not from 'Our Pockets'!...The chapter raises the money and presents it to the charity on behalf of the chapter.

How about a car wash and donate the money to area schools who need help buying supplies.

How bout you do both. I will tow you out into the sound on water ski's and you attempt to swim in. We can bet on you and give the cash to the charity.

We could have several bets:
will you make it back
how long
will you be alive when you make it back
will you have barnacales on you
will you become the "mistress" of the seas
Will you become someones sea hag
blah blah blah

we would make millions

I think we should have a pancake breakfast at our G2G and proceeds can go towards the charity.. Seems sensable since we will be cooking anyway

Hey that's another good idea. Not the previous post, but the pancake breakfast or something along those lines we could do on top of another fundraiser. You'll have to start a poll on the previous post I'm afraid. I also liked the USO support idea (I think RexB brought it up) for a good charity. Alot of people in these chapters have loved ones over there fighting. I'm sure it get's real lonely. Not to mention the fear. Most of them are real young.

Small world! The name is not familiar, so I don't think I know him. I'm about 11 miles from the Klickitat at Leidle Park.

You mean buy our own pancakes? Ok.

I'm not into fund-raising functions at the G2G, my truck will be clean. But that's just me.

If I'm understanding the way that this topic is going, driving hundreds of miles for G2G's to have a fund-raising event, IRS tax forms for whomever the collector is, etc, then I'm out. I'll continue donating to the charities I choose, unfettered by whatever is going on here.

Or am I misunderstanding the trend this is taking?

what about a towing charity? towing them chevy's off the road

but in reality we should support a Washington Based Charity...lets find a charity that helps the poverty in Washington State, or that helps the disabled or anything of that sorts.
