I don't know about what thread Dustin is talking about, but I have had a lot of success with UHaul. I have rented many trucks and trailers from them and they have been nothing but great. I had a problem with lights on a trailer once, so I brought it back to them. They gave me another trailer and let me keep it for a day longer for no cost. That keeps my business.

Guys,
I was referring to the comments about "oh ya like it took 3 guys to check the lights on a trailer I had rented" and thier was some comment that we don't instruct people on how to use the equipment. I go over it with every truck/trailer I rent AND I walk out with the customer and answer any questions they may have about the rental. I never posted. I just got a bad sinking feeling after reading that post I felt I "dropped" a notch in society for working there.

Everyone has a habit of generalising. I think it was one particular person and a particular instance. I would say you are a proudful person. Do youself a favor and not take everything to heart on this site. Many of us have an evil way of joking.
Make believe there is a smile right here*

I wouldn't take it personally. At any business, there are incompetent employees, and then there are good ones. If you're one of the good ones, then the gripes don't pertain to you - so don't sweat it.

No one looks down at your for working at U-haul. I stopped by a local oil change place (dropped off used oil, would never let them touch my truck) and ended up chatting with a young kid of maybe 20. As it turned out, he was HIGHLY knowledgeable about Fords. He was in the process of restoring a 60's mustang, and absolutely for sure knew his stuff backwards and forwards. Near the end of the conversation, I asked him what in the world he was doing working at a place like that, and he was just doing it to gain automotive experience while he worked his way through school. No doubt this kid will have his own shop in a few years.

So while most of us make look down on Jiffy Lube, wal-mart oil changers, and u-haul employees, we all realize that there are a few diamonds in the rough.

Don't let it bother you.
