One more question for you Bronco fanatics...have a '94 351 EFI with the EO4 tranny (did i get that right?)
Here is the problem...When engine is just started and warmed up, I throw in reverse gear, then the engine RPM drops way low and catches itself and comes back up to a high idle of approx. 1100. Then if I were to drive for awhile, engine is nice and warm, then stop, throw her in reverse for a parallel park, etc., she stalls out right away...WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?
Now that I think about it...if I need to brake quickly in a short distance, engine stalls out right after a complete stop...
I'm assuming a vacuum problem here, but I dont know where to begin.
Doing a tune-up (as I write this)...Let me know what you might think
Is the transmission acting up too? I would check all the vacuum lines at the connections. Be sure to check the one to the modulator on the transmission too.
As a good practice when you check the vacuum lines it is best to snip off the piece used at the connection and re-connect using a clean fresh section of the line.
