I've got an 03 Expedition with the factory Nav system. The map disc I have is from 2002, and the most recent release from Navteq is 2005.1, and it runs $200 from Navteq. It's the older CD-ROM based 12 disc set, instead of the newer DVD based system.
Here are my questions...
1- Does anyone know of anywhere I can get those discs cheaper? Or is there anyone on here that has them and no longer needs them?
2- If not, has anyone upgraded from the 2002 version to the 2005.1 and if so, was it worth it?
3- If it's not worth the upgrade, what type of Nav system would you recommend I try instead.
My first concern would be if your nav could read the DVD's.
I got to play with lowrences 250 and 350 portable navigation devices. I really like the 250. It's battery/DC powered, has memory for pictures/music, rather slick device. The 350 adds satalite images to the display, but must be connected to the vehicle to operate.
