Welcome to FTE jwal.

There are lots of intake and exhaust kits out there. It all depends on what you want to accomplish. If you are looking for something that will change the way your truck sounds, then practially anything will work and many users will chime in on their favorite mods. This applies to both intake and exhaust.
As for more power or better fuel economy, don't expect much. It just isn't there. Good luck and research everything before you spend your hard earned money.

Thumbs up Exhaust and intake

I have a 97XLT F-150 w/4.6, Just installed K&N 77 series cold air intake, Flowmaster series 40 catback system, I love it. The Flowmasters sound good and you can still carry on a conversation in without yelling.

Old Rebel the Flows will be quieter on the F150 as long as you leave the cats on it. Mine aren't very loud. My Dodge with the same Flows & no cats was much louder.

Welcome, Check out Outlaw Power for a real cold air intake. I also have a Flowmaster 40 series on my truck with duals out the rear. It sounds nice, but not too loud.
