Low beams not working.
I have a 1998 F-150 XLT.
The daytime running lights work, all park lights and high beams.
The low beams do NOT work. Left or Right.
Anything common I should check?
Thanks.

It's common for the dimmer switch/multi-function switch to go out on the F-series ford. I would check that.

Thanks guys.
Is the dimmer switch located in the steering colom at the end of the turn signal lever? not the headlight switch on the dash?

One more question.
Is there anyway to test if it's a faulty dimmer switch? Can I bypass it somehow?
The dimmer switch is $154 canadian and not returnable.
Thanks.

You're not calling the right place....$154 canadian is a ripoff.
And to my knowledge there is no way to test it.

I agree, Ford wants twice what they can be found for anywhere else. That sounds like a dealer price. When mine went really bad my lows would not work, it happened when I dimmed from bright to low one night and I had no lights all the sudden.

I'm getting $78 for the switch from rockauto.com with $18 international standard shipping. That's $96 shipped to you from the US,so the dealer that quoted you $154 needs to lay off a bit.

I replaced my muti-switch for the same reason....low beams would work/not work. Kinda scary at night when your low beams go out!
I bought the switch from the dealer back when they were 49.99 USD! Took me approx. 30 mins to install.
