I want to install two 10" subs but I'm having some trouble finding a box that will fit in my 01 crew cab. Ideally I'd like boxes that I can drop right into place. If anyone can point me in the right direction or has pics of their own setup that would be great. Thanks.
Anyone? I think I've decided on two Rockford Fosgate Punch Stage 2 10" subs. ANY help on getting the right box or boxes for them that will fit in my truck would be greatly appreciated.
I ended up making a custom box that fit under the back seat for two infinity kappa 10" subs and fabricating a 3" riser to get the back seat to clear. I went with this option over a pre-made enclosure that fits behind the seat because I use my truck for work and have a lot of junk back there. I know you can buy an enclosure for behind the seat but can't remember where I saw them. Unfortunately I just traded in my '02 for an '07 so I don't have any pictures of it installed, but I did take it out so I will try to get some pictures in my gallery for you if you are interested in going that route.
this post helped me out so much! i posted somthing about my backseat in the sport trac forum to see if something can be done with it to make a box under the seat. well here's an alternative and cheaper.
i went to that page and they got something for my truck. kind of weird that its behind the seat and haves to take out the back panel.
and not to mention my amp needs to be relocated now though.
Pay attention to how much air space the speakers you are going to use need. Just because the box holds two 10s doesn't mean that they will work properly in that box. And make sure they have the right mounting depth. The speakers that you have chosen will not fit into any of the supercrewsound.com boxes except for the single cosole box. You may want to look for a shallow mount sub woofer like the Kicker CompVT 07CVT102. You can find them or something like them for a lot less on eBay.
