Hi all
Is $125. (unless he blew his turbo) a good price for a 6 liter CAC from an 04. and how hard is it to install, everyone said that it is a tight fit. what benifits do I get with the install. The ad says he bought a banks CAC and he is also selling an after market air intake pipe for $125 but don't think that one will fit a 7.3
thanks
Lance
Got mine off ebay for $50. I ended up having to relocate my factory tranny cooler because I could not get the bottom of the 6.0 cooler past the tranny hoses without using a crowbar on it. Other than that, it was a piece of cake.
I bought a brand new one still in the box for less than $200.
You'll also need new boots on both sides of the intercooler. They need to be longer, and the hot side (inlet) needs to be a 3". Don't forget to get the new clamp to fit the 3" boot. Reusing the old one is too big (made for a 3.25") and will pop the boot off at low boost levels.
If you still have the stock tranny cooler, you will have trouble fitting the new I/C in just as Guzzle described.
