Anyone else use a Harmony?

Remote that is. I have been eying them for a while with my ever increasing remote control collection and I finally decided to drop the $150 for one. Pretty neat that they can be programmed from the internet via ubs port, only takes about 20 mins and can be modded to your taste. Awsome product!

I loooooooove mine. I'm actually thinking about upgrading to the one with the docking station to charge the batteries. But I have no gripes against the one I have now. They're awesome. Takes a little while to get it tweaked just the way you want, but once it is it's simple for anyone in the family to use.

It's a series of programmable universal remote controls:

I have a One For All with an RF transmitter and IR repeater. That part is very cool--I don't have to have the remote pointed at the entertainment center--the IR repeater picks up the RF signal and transmits the IR to the components.

I will probably upgrade to the a Harmony at some point, though.

Wow! Thats alot of money for a remote. The one I have now is a whole lot cheaper. Honey can you turn that down please. The only glitch with this system is, You have to ask nice like.

I just got the middle of the line 670, and it does everything I could possible want......but, I know the one you are talking about, and from what I heard it can also control lights if they are remote accessed.

The beauty of the harmony is that you just need to press one button for most functions i.e. if you want to watch a movie you press" watch a movie", it turns off the satellite reciever, turns on the tv to the proper input, different channel if needed, turns the audio reciever on and to the proper input, turns on the dvd player and presses play for you.

I've had a Harmony 550 for a little over a year now with no complaints. Even use it to control my air conditioner.

Yeah, I'm lazy

I have the Harmony 880 and love it. I actually liked it so much I have bought one for my sister and her husband, and one for my parents too. Harmony remotes make everything very simple to use. Now my mom can actually watch a DVD by herself without calling me for directions!
