Allright, I've hung a front clip on my truck. Deal is the clip is tan, but the truck is red.
Andyway, i'm prepping the truck for paint but I really don't feel like prepping the insides of the fenders. Is there any sort of paint that will stick over clean, but otehrwise unprepped paint?
It doesn't have to lay smooth, all it has to do is stick. i just don't want a red truck with beige inner fenders.
You can try using an adhesion promoter but there's no absolute guarantee it'll work. Even though you don't want to have to sand it,, if you scuff it well with scotch brite and knock the shine off it, you'll have better luck than nothing at all.
I knew etching will etch into bare or bare-ish metal, but didn't know it would etch into other paint. That's probably how I'll wind up going, or at least trying first.
I was also planning on just doing a basic gloss bust with scotchbrite or the like, but wanted to hear some more input on what people had tried.
