Hood flip kits

Hey everybody hope the easter bunny came to your house. He left me a set of inner and outer front fenders. Now I need some help on choosing a flip kit. Mid-fifty offers a Y2K and a MMB. Which is the better choice? Pro's and con's of each. My truck has been a sleeper for twenty sum odd years in a shed and its dyin to get rollin. Got it off my brother in- law who went bankrupt. He hated to see it go but it's still in the family. I've lowered it, c-sectioned the rear end and now workin on the body. I have about a hands length between the ground and the runningboards. Hope to make the Missouri Branson show someday keep missing it by a week or two. Tried making it the last few years. Made it to the midnite cruise once really super. All replies appreciated!

There's a guy on ebay right now with a brand new MMB kit for $325 BIN w/$20 shipping. That's a good price if you're in the market....

There's a guy in Denver with the Y2k for 150.00 and 15.00 to ship. The y2k is the No Limit. Jon

Not sure of the brand names, but my buddy hates his unit. It is the fancy billet aluminum model. Get the one that looks like mine in the gallery. Good luck, Jag.

Jag, does the rear edge of your hood still have the 90 Degree lip or did you fold it over to keep it from catching the rubber strip on the cowl. I just can't see past all the nice shiny red. Jon

I left the rear edge as stock except for some smoothing of the edge on the driver-side corner. It was a little jagged and it was scratching the paint on the rear of the cowl just as it would close. I think you need to leave that edge at 90* to provide rigidity to the hood. Good luck, Jag
