[QUOTE=lswartz]That is not a game video card with only 64MB of memory on it. It is good for surfing the net, FTE, etc.
That figures. The witch at the computer store told me this card was just what I needed. She charged me $100 for it.When I installed it,I disabled my intel graphics driver and enabled it instead. My background looked like crap and any pictures I tried to view looked like crap also,so I disabled it and re-enabled my intel that came with the system and everything looks good now. So,aside from the fact that I told that witch that I only had one monitor, and didnt need a twin, she sold me a peice of junk that was useless for what I needed anyway. That was the whole reason I went to them in the first place, because i could not run these games! It figures, she drives an import!
64 MB is the minimum graphics memory that you can get and many games now may state that is the minimum requirements, but you are going to need at least 128 MB if not 256 MB. Try a larger card and see what happens. Even if that doesn't fix the problem, you are going to need a larger one anyway.
I'd go to best buy, being that it's three years old your options are going to be PCI or AGP. Take the computer with you and tell them that you need a new video card, tell them what games you want to run. I just bought a new visiontek Radeon (ATI chipset) x1300XGE, It's got 512mb of ram installed on it and it will share up to 256mb of ram with the system as well. So it's a great card and it's fast too.
