Alright boys and girls, if you ain't been at work for 2 hours and on your first coffee break you're late. We done pulled a 12 ton turbine out of the building and are waiting for the replacement that's supposed to be here at 8:00. It left Odessalate Saturday at noon. That plus trying to figure out who gets to go to Arizona as some one blew out a compressor on a gas pipeline. God I Love My Job.

Hey this is a baby, The big ones I work on now weigh in at 30 tons for the compressor section of the rotor only, almost 70 tons complete. Yea to many things going on right now, this one, a start up in Boston, a unit acting up offshore, pipeline compressor in Arizona, startup of 2 generators on gas in Australia back at the copper mine in the desert (don't want to go back there if I can avoid it).

No that was a millwright that came in to do some welding. That was a Jenbacher 6-16 Gas engine. 1750 KW. The frame is the big beast hanging on the hook 160,000 KW (160 MW). I also did some time on wind turbines in Minnisota and Colorado. The one with my back to the camera I had an all Philipino crew with Ghanian helpers.
