I agree with most, I would have someone runn it on occasioin. I have friends who have classic's, they actually put them up on stands to keep the weight off of the tires.

But morE importantly "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE"

One thing to do is get a fuel algicide to prevent the microbe from making a home in the diesel fuel while your gone.

Thank you all

Well i found out that I'm not leaving at the end of april as i first thought. But its is for sure now that I am headed over there. Ill be leaving in the fall, and I will be in-country IRAQ. I really dont want to say much more then that do to OPSEC, but im sure alot of you will understand that.

Now, to all of you who have offered up so much information. THANK YOU

Do to the fact that im not leaving until the fall, i might be able to store it with family now. So... I'm hoping this well alough here to be started every now and again, maybe even get used just a little. But I can tell you that before i leave i will print this thread out and do as much as i can to help keep my babygirl running for a long long time, and ready for long term storage.

To all of you who have already given me suport. Thank you. I will do my best while im over there and do my best to come back. Hopefully in one peace.

Again thank you all for your help and guidance.

thats no joke.... I was in the gulf in 96' and 03' on ships. This will be my first time "on the ground" in a place like this. I expect it to be a little bit worse for the heat, and the fact that i havnt been over there in almost 4 years. I guess when i get back it will take me another 6 months to re-aclamate myself again. no biggy. but ya.. it will be interesting to see how things go.. if i can or when i can ill drop a note on here for y'all to let you know that im still doing ok.

And yes im happy about the fall leave time too.. this weekend im driving up to hurricane ridge with a friend.... hopfully the rain wont be too bad.... im hopeing to get some hiking in too. i have an all day hike out at mt. jupiter trail planned for may sometime. I heard it has some great views on a clear days. anyway... thanks again everyone for all your help and support... that really means alot to me. good luck to all of you in your endevor's as well.

The wife gets to drive mine around when I leave for KNB. Don't be shy if you get down to my neck of the woods. Hope there's good fishing in the shallows.

According to military.com in the military press release it is just the Army who got extended. (so far) none of the other services was affected.
