I want one with the metal end caps to. I heard people have some problems with the plastic end capped ones. What are you gonna use for a y-pipe?

Wow you suck! Thats gonna be a good lookin set-up. Im most likely gonna have to go with a superduty y-pipe. Im gonna ceramic coat the insides an outsides of the tubing and y-pipe. Give that a shot and see if it will make a difference. Im gonna have an exhaust shop bend me up all my pipe for a nice clean look.

i can bend the 3 inch pipe with our pipe bender but it doesn't do mandrel bends. so i have 2 extra ic pipes one from a 7.3 and one from a 6.0 i am going to use for my needed bends then weld it all together and paint

I thought I got some good deals on parts, dont think I can top paying $50 for a banks y pipe! I'v got parts for an intercooler sitting around my place, only difference is I dont even have a chip or injectors yet. its kinda hard to afford that stuff when offroad diesel is $2.00/gal and my dad and I can burn 150 gallons pretty easy in one day when running 2 tractors hard all day. paid $80 for 7.3 ic with pipes and metal tanks and got 6.0 pipes also, just couldnt pass that deal up.

p.s. I'm 22 so I must be getting old too!

yea being neighbors to and very good friend of a guy that owns a body shop pays off lots of times. I'm getting excited though, in about another month I will have saved up enough money for a TW 4 position chip. then comes the clutch. thats gonna hurt!

The ceramic coating isnt that bad Timbob. I can take care of ya in that regard. Got a guy that does all my Snowmobile stuff for me. He did my downpipe on my truck to.

The plastic end caps are fine on the 7.3 and 6.0 intercoolers. Lukecline ran a 6.0 unit and pushed well over 40 psi through it with no issues. The 6.0 trucks are making A LOT of boost before they blow the ic apart.

The stock units are not as efficient as the bigger DI and speaco units but they have a huge effect over no ic at all.

I am wanting to pick up a good used 6.0 unit because they are about 30% larger than the 7.3 units.
