idle problem

idle problem
I need advise as to what to look for. My '86 302 EFI will start fine every time but when the engine is cold it will almost stall as it comes off fast idle. sometimes it will stall. sometimes it almoast stalls thens revs back up to fast idle again. its very annoying and it only does it on a cold engine. What should i look for or check??

I'd say check the EGR valve first (assuming that there's no codes on the computer and it's tuned up). Leaking EGR valve can clause rough idle while the engine's warmed up and it gets even worst if the engine's cold.
