Sometimes, when the engine is not warmed up (temp. less than 50 dgr C) it stalls on a run. Not, at idle, but when I drive and have to slow down, i release thrust pedal and put the shiftstik at N, it may stall. No codes. ISC is ok (i tried to disconnect it and to connect it directly to battery, engine revs!). Idle is too slow when the engine is not warmed up. ECT sensor is good! Voltage and resistance depend on temperature and it reads correctly (I've checked it with ECT resistance/signal level tabel). What to check?
Pablo has a DIYer racing Aero with 5 sp manual Volga tranny
what is measured voltage to ISC IAC at cold idle and <50C idle?
may be partially plugged in area one can not see
does the '89 3L have an I.ntake A.ir T.emp sensor that feeds variable d.c. voltage to ECU based upon intake air temp?
VREF>SIG RTN on IAT should be 5v dc
sensor voltage needs to be >1.5v at 30d C air temp and >3.5v at 10d C air temps for increased cold weather fuel load
use ECT sensor graph for IAT voltages
because of placement and design of stock Aero intake box, there is some warming of intake air with warm/hot 95d C. engine which decreases fuel load/oxygen intake and power
i believe on Ford ECU programming for auto tranny Aero engines, they commanded the injectors totally off on closed throttle coast down until speed was below 5 mph to increase fuel mileage....you may have to find a manual tranny ECU that has different closed throttle coast down algorithm and an ECU clutch sensor
96-4WDR! I will check it today! But I have the other suggestion! May be TPS is not position correctly ore bad! Sometimes I have 1/2 sec pause after throutle pedal pressing before engine revs up! I have no codes!
0.5 sec throttle delay not good on freeway on ramp lane during rush hour....
TPS, brain dead cpu in ECU, or wet noodle throttle cable
my money is on the TPS

In our 1992 E-350, a bad TPS didn't set a code until it was so bad that the vehicle was barely drivable. At that point, it took up to thirty seconds to get to 30 mph. Don't be surprised if there s no code.
