Well first of all i have a 89 eddie bauer bronco with a 302 EFI, that has had a tune upon 2/11/01, and a new 3" exaust the same day, well i have a few questions, for starters, my thermostat on the insturument panel does not work, it will only go up a very little bit and no matter how hot it gets it will stay in the same place, and if i drive the bronco around enough like today and i turn it off, it will have a mean time starting up, and when it does i usually can drive it a couple of feet with big clunking noises if i try to push hard on the gas, and once i can cruise for a little while maybe a couple of feet, it will run alright again, i wanted to know why this happens, and if the reason could be the thermostat, it has a new exaust on it, a brand new alternator, and a brand new water pump.
Did it do the symptoms before the tuneup?
Did you have someone (shop) do the tuneup?
What was done on the tuneup?
What do your computer codes read?
As far as the temp gauge goes, did it start doing this after the tuneup? Does your oil pressure and gas gauge work ok? Of so, find your temp sensor, take the wire off and run it to the manifold or a good ground, then make sure it isn't touching anything. If the gauge is good it should go full one way or the other.
