i do nt mean to keep anyone up but i have a 300 I6 with 3.08 gears on it and i was wondering if i should stick with them or go up to some 3.55s and is it something that sucks to put or is it fairly simple and also i have 4x4 so would i have to change them both

This is not the right forum for this, But what the hell.... I am boared. What are you planning to do with the truck? Why would you upgrade?

Yes you would have to change both, I would not do my own because if not exact, it will cost a lot to come back from and because it will cause more hassle than it is worth.

Stick with those gears, but if you do change, yes you have to change both.

Are you kidding me? Gears are simple, just a beach to get aligned but other than that simple!

Alright, moving on.
Moving from 3.08 gears to 3.55 will increase your acceleration, make towing/hauling easier, and make your truck funner to drive. With a 300 pushing a 1/2 ton truck you will probably notice a small MPG increase if you do alot of freeway driving.
Like has been said, what do you use the truck for?
