Its pretty. I would venture a guess that your intake noise would be less due to the diamond plate housing. Looks like there is enough room for the 6637 filter if you didn't like that K&N filter.

i have a couple of these in stock and went to install one in my truck, 99 f250, it fit but seemed to be poorly made. It has a tube that replaces the plastic coupler with the crank vent tube and it seems to be hokey at best. The air tube that connects to the air filter is straight with no bend so you have to cut your battery cables and lengthen them with supplied ends that move the battery to the back of the box instead of the front like the factory set-up, It does come with a optima battery but it is a 540 cca yellow top. I opted for the Afe stage two instead. These would probably be well suited for the early 99 P/S due to the lack of avalibility of intakes for them as well as the battery is farther back and may not require cutting the cables, not sure though cant bring myself to selling the ones i already have.
