air cleaner

Help i have been doing a frame off on my 73 f-100 short bed got all the drive train done ive got a 69 460 30 over crane cam edlebrock intake and holley 750. The problem i have is that i installed a davis unified ignition with coil in cap and i cannot get an air cleaner to fit unless it is 10 inches or less in diameter, would that air cleaner be large enough or i was also thinking about installing a 1 inch spacer between the carb and intake but wasnt sure how that would affect the performance any help would be appreciated thanks in advance. A one inch spacer between the carb and the manifold, if anything, will improve performance, but not much. Edelbrock also makes a one inch spacer to go between the carb and the air cleaner, this would probly be the easiest and cheapest way to go.
