Question Wobbly wheel!

Hello wise ones!
I have a problem with my 2003 7700 xcab i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on? I recently changed my tires (as some of will know!) and finally got the 10 ply dueler at revos put on. now the problem was there before (i think) but i put it down to a faulty tire, now after i had the p metric ones changed for the 10 plys it still seem to be there, but before it seemed to be the front passenger, now it seems to be rear passenger. i know that they took all four wheels off at once when they changed the tires over, so that could explain the change in position. when i get upto about 65 mph one of wheels seems to 'Wobble' (i think it is only one!) it seems to be the passenger side back (as far as i can tell, i don't feel it so much in the steering wheel or my seat, but can see the passenger seat wobbling and the center console (between the 2 front seats) wobbles too. what could be causing this? it may have been there before but didn't notice it as the tires were old. i have looked at the wheel and as far as i can see it looks ok, not bent or anything, but cannot be sure, i have not been able to see the truck moving and look at the wheels to make sure. any ideas, is there some way to find out? can i take it anywhere or does it have to be a tire place?
Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you
Rik

If the wobble seems to have changed positions, ie: front to back, it would seem to be a bent wheel but that SHOULD have been discovered by the person who balanced your new tires.

Well i am not relying on anything from the tire place, on the first set of tires they installed it was way out of balance on all tires! as for a bent wheel, would i be able to see the bend? what should i be lookinf for?
thank you all again!

You can't always see a bent wheel. I depends where the bend is. If it is on the outside of the wheel you may be able to see it, but if it is warped in the center where the bolt patern is you will not see it. My suggestion is to swap each tire out with the spare tire and wheel and when the wobble stops, you found your bent wheel. Hope this helps...

Take it back to the tire shop, tell them it wobbles. Tell them to rebalance, and when they are rebalancing, to theck the rims if they are bent or not. Its really easy to tell on a wheel balancer.

You may be able to find it yourself. If you can put the rear-end on jackstands, chock the front tires, start the truck and put it in gear. You may be able to see the wobble if it's there. I'm not sure I'd go back there after all this and ask them to look for a bent wheel! Maybe a different place.

exactly what i was thinking, jack up the rear end and watch. They probly put the tires that took less wheel weights in the front and paid no attention to previous wheel position. When a rim is on a balance machine you can perform rim out-of-round tests, but no one does it unless a customer asks. Otherwise the wheel could just be out of balance. Is there a lot of weight on it or are they small weights?

When i was a tire guy, after balancing wheels for awhile, I was able to see if a rim was bent, A good tire guy always checks! If you want to jack your truck up, take a wrench or screwdriver or something solid, and hold it up to the edge of your rim, on the inside of the rim, Then spin it and note the space between the tool and the rim.

thanks for all the replies.

I have spoken to the tire shop (i am sure they are sick of hearing from me by now!) and they said they will test it for hard spots and check the rim etc. there are a couple or three big looking weights on it, does this mean anything? any other ideas or suggestions will be greatfully accepted!
Thanks again!

less weights is always better than more weight, those large weights are counteracting something, could be the rim or the tire. Usually on any steel or aluminum rim 17 inches or smaller the most weight you would use (with stock rims and tires) would be about 3oz per side. I have seen 5+ oz on medium duty truck steel rims, and stock rims with big mud tires. Usually the biggest weight you can put on is a 2.5 or 3 oz, but if you look closely at your weights they should say the amount on them.
