Trans Swap?
Sorry if this has been covered. Need to know what trans could be used in a 1999 F-150 XLT, 4.6, two wheel drive. Have access to a trans from a later 5.4 expedition (after 03). Have little time to scroll through forums(two jobs) and limited knowledge on the newer trucks (don't even know what trans is in mine). Any help would be great

It will either be the 4r70w which is on your truck... im 99 percent sure, or the 4r100 which came with a few 5.4l's....but most 5.4l's apparently came with the 4r70w... its a bit of a pain to put the 4r100 in a truck that has a 4r70w in it..... but it can be done
