i recently got a 90 bronco E.B. with a 351w. it has toyo 31*10.5*15's on it with stock rims. i occasionally take the truck off roading through the woods and mud. it is also my daily driver to and from work wich is 35 miles one way. What should i do to beef it up alittle and help it out in the trail? any input would be appreciated.
I have a 90 Bronco EB with a 351. It came with 31X10.5 Michelin All Seasons which sucked off road. I bought some 32X11.5X15 BFG mud terrains. The tires fit stock with no rubbing(although fellow broncos have told me they have a little rubbing on the radius arm when turn to full lock with the same size tires) and are a huge improvement in every off road environment. They are also a fair compromise for street use. You also want to make sure that you have a transmission cooler ($40 in summit)because an auto tranny heats up quick 4 wheeling. You say that you want to beef it up a little so I dont know if you want to spend the money on lower gears and posi or a locker but that would help you significantly 4 wheeling. You will also want to pay attention to your gas tank in the back, they have a tendency to get hung up on things. I am building a better skid plate than the stock one(it dents very easily). How serious are you about making it 4 wheel better? And how much money do you have?
