I got the camping fever out of my system. I took a three week trip from Kodiak all the way around the loop. I rented a trailer in Anchorage at the Army Base and had a great time. The birds in GlennAllen were terrible though. All the Deet in the world didn't work. The only problem I had this trip was I found a boost leak that cost me $100's in extra fuel. Didn't find it untill Delta Junction. Went from 9 mile per gallon to 20.
I hate to say it, I'm glade its fall time, what a busy summer with company, fishing, camping, smoking fish, more company and more fishin. Plus I spent time up in the caribou hills after the fire, luckly I didn't lose my place with all the lumber I stored inside the old cabin.
Wish i could get a straight three days off from work driving the hovercraft without them calling me at home to come back. Want to go get time up the river to clear my head from all the modern world. Also need time to put the new engine in my 97 F350.
Ray what do I need to do to gain access to FTE Chat room? I know you and arctic were discussing this. PS I am back from the lower 48 and would like to set up a few different Chat room Meetings.
Welcome home Mike. Glad to have ya back. Wife is having trouble with her heart. And blood presser. We are seperated so to keep her presser down I only come home and get on line when she is gone. She is on her way to the clinic as I type. They may ship her to the hospital in Ketchikan. Than I will be staying home taking care of the boy's. If they do surgery or she starts to crash. She wants me there. And I would be anyway.
I have 3 more days on one job and a week on this house that I have been building. After that I have the State Fire Conference to attend that I should be slowing down somewhat. I will not be building another home this winter so I will have more free time then last year. As soon as the Fire Conference is over with I am going to make an effort to get this chapter caught up on what has been going on for the past few years, update my roster with emails and try to make a Meet-Greet Pizza outing in Anchorage and Fairbanks this winter. Heck I will be over in Anchorage this Sunday/Monday.
IS your wife currently taking and BP meds? They do have some newer meds that work great but sometimes it takes a few trials to get the right one for you system.
Thanks Mike. She is at the Hospitle in Ketchikan getting MRI's today. They are looking for an anurizum or blood clot. She has lost the feeling in her left foot from the stroke she had. Her BP is down and good for now. She is getting around fine.
