i dont know what the ebpv tube is....

 

if you look in by the front passenger side tire and at the front of the exhaust manifold you will see a steel tube coming out of it.(looks like a brake line) that tube works its way up the front of the motor to a sensor just under the fuel bowl and behind the serpentine belt..that is your EBPS..a wire hooks to the top of that sensor and the steel tube go's into the bottom of that sensor..mine did not have any soot on it cause I found it right after I heard it start to tick..I could not hear it when truck was at idle..only under a load..
