thanks for the clarification, need to pick up a truck for my father-in-law, he said it was a 79 hiboy f100, i have no idea, 4x4 w/ 351w and c6, still about 4500lbs? and narrower than 6'6" you think? i have a 18' car trailer that is 6'6" at the wheel wells and 5000 payload, just wanna make sure i can haul it. i know the super duty can handle it, just if it will fit on my trailer
If its lifted it might have some bigger tires on it. 6.5 feet is gonna be tight if its got big tires. You might wanna bring a set of skinny tires with ya or at least find out what its got on it.
you can always fill those large tires with helium and make the weight even lighter for fuel economy, lol only kidding, i wish that idea worked, but mythbusters did a show and said it would have no effect on a foot ball, but they never ruled out a car or truck tires? lol any ways your right on the old thread comment and i did not look in till UTfball68 said something! lol oh well old news today is tomorrows top story.
i think he was pulling the truck and his two right tires blew. in a moment of panic he swerved into on-coming traffic and was hit by a big rig pulling a few thousand pounds of steel. just my guess......
good one Blue Bomber i think that could be true, lol that is a good comic comment, and i wish this forum had more comments like that, it really helps to break the ice!
what are you talking about, im in this forum all the time. though, i have started hanging out in the offroad section more. ill make sure to visit more often. id hate for people to start missing me.
