remote/key fob programming
99 explor. anyone have the programmg instructions for the remote key fob> thanks. I did not get one with the truck...do junk yards sell these? i see a lot of them used and new on e bay.

cycle the ignition key on and off 8 times within about 8 seconds or less .. keeping the key on, on the 8th time... doors should lock then unlock.. hit button on remote.. doors will lock them unlock... do this for all key fobs and shut key off when finished.. recheck to make sure all work after programming.

straight from the owner manual
If you purchase additional
transmitters (up to four may be
programmed), perform the following
procedure:
To reprogram the transmitters
yourself, place the key in the
ignition and turn from OFF to ON
eight times in rapid succession
(within 10 seconds) ending in ON. After doors lock/unlock, press any
control on all transmitters (up to four). When completed, turn the
ignition to OFF. The doors will lock/unlock one last time to confirm
completion of program mode.
All transmitters must be programmed at the same time.
