I am in the market for a grille guard. I have been looking at Westin, and they look pretty solid and well built. Anyone have experience with them? Any other suggestions, good places to buy from, what not to buy, welcomed. Thanks.
westin is a very nice product, well built, looks great, but costs quite a bit. if you can afford one, i would suggest going this route. i have a luverne grill/brush guard that i like... either or are both great options imho.
to buy from? i've always looked at jcwhitney, autoanything, jegs and summit for my parts. i don't know about everyone else here...
I bought my grill guard from www.hunter4X4.com. They were listed on ebay and after doing some research found they were legit. The factory is located in Houston, TX so the shipping had it here in Dallas, TX the next day. Mine is the solid black and was $279.00 and I believe the chrome was $379.00 both with free shipping. I will post pictures soon. I've had mine installed arround 3 months now and I love it.

I too went with westin. The fit is excellent and the chrome over stainless guard looks like new after nearly a year of service. Cost was $699 installed.
I hope the Westin grille guards are built better than their step bars. I had a set on my 97 F350 that rusted completely through in less than 5 years on the bottom and you could stick your fingers up through the bottom and I have seen several sets on other trucks around here and they are almost rusted clear in 2 in sagging. I replaced them with DeeZee stainless units that worked a lot better. A little off topic but I'm just not convinced of Westin's quality.

What's the warranty on the step bars? (I think 3 yrs?) Anyways, first sign of rust and I'd call them -they have EXCELLENT cust. support.
I've taken care of mine and no problems here. It happens, I suppose...
