Have a blue one in there and I'm going to switch back to the black one for S&G.
Been awhile since I've been under there and I can't rember if it was a 10 mm socket I needed. BTW, If anyone kniows the size I need to tighten my IC boots, please sing out. It'll save me lugging my overweight tool box all the way down stairs.
the cps is 10 mm. The intercooler boots are standard. I think mine were like 5/16" or something like that. I just got a deep socket with a long extension. First time I did it was with a screw driver. Never do that again...
Are those easy to get to tighten? I have never checked mine and want to.
They are not too bad... just kind of a pain to get too. It also depends on where the clamp bolt is located. If it is behind the y pipe then it can be tough to get too...
They are basically just radiator hose clamps. How easy or hard they are to get at is completely dependant on which way the installer put them in. Only way to really tell is lift the hood and go for it.
I think that an 8mm socket will work for those.
