I noticed over the last few months that there is a slight studder in idle and sometimes when i leave from a stop it hesitates... Not always but though not to much of it... Well the last couple weeks randomly it didnt wanna start sometimes after turning it off for a min or 2. First it would sputter and die... Then just crank and crank and crank... I could hear the click of the fuel pump kickin on but it would just randomly decided to start when it felt like it... Well now its gettin harder and harder to start when it does it... And today 2x it just stalled while driving... What you guys think? I was told by a pretty knowledgeable mechanic friend its probably either that or the FPR but he has heard those rarely go bad....
My first instict would be the IAC is failing. Idle Air Control valve. When it dies, is it when idling? If so, I would replace the IAC. It's not hard to do at all.
it has a slight studder sometimes during idle but it will die while driving or idle... and start when its good and read the other day it died 4x within a mile and a half but starte right back up each time... then yesterday it died after sittin for an hour as soon as i took off...
sometimes it will putter out after a restart sometimes will just do nothing... sometimes while driving it will just die.. sometimes it will putter out when it does it
i pulled the vaccum line of the FPR and didnt find any gas so i assume thats workin right... should i have checked it while running, while the engine is hot or cold...
ve also noticed sometimes the throttle is stiffer.... or like it seems to be workin a lil harder to accelerate...and sometimes when i go to accelerate it tries to bog slightly but then will go... no i havent checked for codes yet but wouldnt hurt
