P401

I have had repeated visits to my ford dealer on this Diagnostic code. They have replaced all the components in the emmisions system and now have told me that they won't do anything else for me. My truck has a K&N filter as well as a Boost gauge add-on. They said at this point I must put the orginal airbox back on as well as replace the repair the hole that is in the intake at the turbo where the Boost gauge sensor is located. Has anyone had this issue with the P401 code.

they've seem to have done their part. do yours and get rid of the K&N and the code will probably go away. I dont see how a gauge could cause the code, unless there was an issue with installation. good luck.

I agree, ditch the K&N and put the stock intake assembly back in place. The K&N will lightly oil all the intake components causing problems and it also won't filter out dirt as effectively also causing problems. The factory Donaldson filter in there will flow more than enough for a mildly modified engine and should last at least 30,000 miles. It will also filter air far more effectively than any aftermarket filter and your 6.0 deserves the cleanest air it can get.

I would leave the boost gauge in place. If it's sealed properly at the intake then it won't cause any problems.
